GRASS FED BEEF FOR NO KID HUNGRY (2/2/14)

The organic farms in Georgia have proven best in the country, and keep standards that assure safety.

As one of Atlanta's top restaurants, Ted's Montana Grill™ has continually chosen Georgia farms as a partner source for quality; combining its 'green' philosophy to create a unique dining experience for families, travelers and vagabonds alike. At Ted's™, you can be assured that the bison on the menu led a diet of fresh natural grasses on the rolling prairies of some distant ranch.  This is the good stuff.

Most people have faith that the foods they consume come from a natural source.

However sad to prognosticate---cattle, pigs and chickens are given all kinds of strange germination; including steroids, growth hormones and chemicals to produce a bigger yield, or---a bigger piece of BBQ, beef or chicken.

     That's not the way at Ted's™ .

"Green has been part of the Ted's Montana Grill™ mission from the word 'go,'" says Gena Weaver, vice president of marketing for the company. "Our co-founder, Ted Turner, is and has been an environmentalist his entire life, and he continues to work to protect the planet through his foundations and other initiatives. So it was important that his restaurant company stand on the same principles."

On national Dine Out Night for No Kid Hungry, Atlanta Restauranteur George McKerrow (Ted's™ Co-Owner) made a speech to all food industry leaders in America called 'Uniting the Restaurant Industry For No Kid Hungry'.

"In a country with an abundance of riches, hunger is a problem we can solve," said McKerrow.   "I saw, first-hand, the number of kids in our communities who were hungry. I knew we had to help.
Ted's Montana Grill™ has been a dedicated supporter of No Kid Hungry since 2008, and this year we surpassed our goal of connecting kids in need to 2 million meals, raising over $207,000."

Passion to help others unite Turner and McKerrow.  "I have a dream for the hungry children of our great country -- a dream that 100% of the top 5 restaurant companies will come together for this great cause," said McKerrow.  "With true generosity and goodwill, we can win the fight against childhood hunger in America."

And the grass-fed beef?  It's been a part of Ted's Montana Grill™ mantra since 2002...'eat great...do good.'  Not only is there grass-fed beef, even Ted's™ chickens and pigs get the good grain.  The successful restaurant chain does not use plastic, instead opting for paper straws and to-go boxes that really do recycle.  Proceeds from meals go to help childhood hunger.
Ted's Montana Grill™ (tedsmontanagrill.com ) was the Winner of 2014's Certificate of Excellence from http://www.tripadvisor.com/
